The Alpina D3 gets taken from BMW, to Alpina's factory where they fit their own twin turbo set up, adaptive suspension, gearbox mapping, along with upgraded braking system and intercooler. They also remove the run flat tyres and add the usual Alpina cosmetic upgrades and provide an Akropovic quad exhaust. These changes come together to offer 345bhp, with 0-60 coming up in just 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 173mph, whilst also still being able to offer over 40mpg on motorway journeys. It is worth remembering this car was the fastest production diesel vehicle for a while, and received rave reviews from every motoring publication that completed a road test.

Exterior -

The paintwork is in beautiful condition and, bar a few small stone chips to the front of the car, is genuinely unmarked whilst the alloy wheels are in great condition, shod with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round, with circa 7mm of tread on each corner. Interior -
The interior is also in fantastic condition and looks like new, and, whilst cliché; still has the new car smell. The leather, trims and carpets are all in as new order. It goes without saying everything works as intended and there are lots of features on offer, whilst the Harmon Kardon stereo is brilliant. The lighter coloured leather also brightens the cabin up very well.

Drive -

With such low mileage and comprehensive BMW service history, the Alpina drives perfectly. The engine offers storming acceleration and a great sound track, with the slight burble from the upgraded exhaust present. The Alpina adaptive suspension is a work of art - offering great ride comfort when cruising but firming up to sports car agility at the touch of a button.
